Seven Achievements

WHAT IMAM ALI DID FOR GOD'S MESSENGER

In the Name of God the Kind the Merciful.

Abu Talib’s son Ali did seven great things for his Master Holy Prophet Mohammed:

1. At start of Prophet’s mission, Ali stood up with the Messenger and said I will be your helper and defender in your mission.

2. At time of Hijra migration from Mecca to Medina, the son of Abu Talib saved Prophet’s life by risking his own. When the pagans decided to kill the Messenger of God, Ali slept in his Master’s bed so that the enemies think Prophet is still lying on his own bed. Prophet safely escaped their evil due to Ali’s selfless loyalty.

3. In Battle of Bader, Ali leading enemies of God and His Messenger. In daring duels, Ali slayed Walid, Obaida, and Otba.

4. In Battle of Uhad, Ali defended Prophet as others fled the battlefield. Ali remained loyal to God and His Messenger. In a fierce attack launched by pagans, Ali stood by his Master while rest of the disciples turned on their heels.

5. In Battle of Khandaq, Ali was the only one brave enough to challenge Amer Wud. Amer was major enemy of God. He came very close to killing the Messenger of God. None of the other disciples stood up when Prophet called them to defend him. Only Ali rose to his feet. Hence, Ali saved Islam by killing Amer.

6. In Battle of Khybar, no one could defeat the Jewish warrior Marhab. Only Ali managed to kill him and hence conquer the fort.

7. In Yemen, Ali went and preached Islam. The message was accepted and truth spread to Yemen to this day.

These seven things done by Ali are written in all books of history. Ali’s character is clear from these actions. For God, Ali also did many other things. Son of Abu Talib carried on sacrificing himself for love of God even after the death of his Master. Ali lived another 30 years after Prophet Mohammed.

We can correctly say that besides Ali no other man during life of the Holy Prophet achieved more for God and His Religion. Imam Ali proved his love of God and his loyalty to the Holy Messenger. Ali became Leader of the Believers.

Peace be upon Ali and his Master Mohammed.
